ASM Industries, the largest Portuguese producer of wind towers and offshore foundations, donated last Sunday, October 20, through the Mão Amiga Foundation, a 27,500-liter water cistern to help fight wildfires. The delivery of the equipment took place during the commemoration of the 59th anniversary of the firefighting brigade, the oldest humanitarian association in the municipality of Sever do Vouga.
Adelino Costa Matos, CEO of ASM Industries, explains that “this social responsibility action, carried out through the Mão Amiga Foundation, enables Sever do Vouga’s corporation to be given more resources and to improve its work. At the same time, it is a way to value and thank them for all their daily support to the community”.
The Mão Amiga Foundation, created within the A. Silva Matos Group, is headquartered in Sever do Vouga and was born in 2009. It aims to support any individual or household, at national level, in the psychosocial, legal, educational, housing, health, training, or other that is recognized as an incentive for individual and / or family promotion. The Foundation works daily with the mission of getting closer to those most in need, and has the great support of its partners and volunteers.
